We have
received a report of an angler spinning on Society
waters at Great Langton. Spinning on any river stretches
is not permitted under Society rules. The Society has
been in contact with local police and the environment
agency who will now include the Great Langton stretch on
patrols as they step up efforts to curb illegal angling
activity in Richmondshire. All members should report any
suspicious activity on Society waters and are encouraged
to check the permits of anyone they find fishing.

Following
the recent AGM, the contact page has been updated. We
have now extended full membership to include all of
Richmondshire. It has also been decided to end the
society's leases on Great Langton Ponds and the River
Bain with effect on the 15th June 2013.

Please note
that Northallerton tackle shop closes on 31st October
and moves to the Parkside lakes site on Yafforth Road.
At the owners request, RDAS tickets will not be
available at Yafforth Road until the new season. In the
meantime please use one of the other outlets or apply
directly. We are sorry for any inconvenience this
causes.

The AGM will
be held at 8pm on the 4th December 2012 at the Black
Lion Inn, Finkle Street, Richmond. Please come along
and support your society!

We have once
again carried out a stocking of trout on several beats above Richmond falls.
All fish are dye marked as shown in the photograph and
we request that details of any catches are reported to
us to help shape future stocking policy.
There is to be a fly fishing competition held on society
waters on 27th May, details can be found
